Por Una Vida Digna Group's story

Greetings from Peru! “Por Una Vida Digna” (For a Dignified Life) group is comprised of five members who are synonymous with struggle, perseverance and conviction. Benedicta clearly demonstrates that, with willpower, you can achieve many things. She is 62 years old and married with three adult children. Benedicta belongs to an association that sells prepared foods to major State businesses. Apart from this, she also has a service in which she provides lunches, breakfasts, and other meals. With the loan, she wishes to purchase machinery for her food business which will enable her to be more efficient in the process of preparing her product for delivery. The “Por Una Vida Digna” group are happy to learn that people can support her through organizations like Kiva and Edaprospo. Benedicta says, “I am very happy and excited to learn that people are helping me. I want to have access to other business activities in the future and be able to share them with you”. In the photo, Benedicta is the woman that has her hands on the table and is showing her handbag that was created by the group as a symbol of their alliance.
