Mao's Group's story

Mao is 43 years old, married, and has six children, two of whom attend school and are dependent on her. She lives in a wooden house located in Bakan district of Battambang province, She and her husband make a living from rice growing on six hectares of farmland, from which they are able to earn up to 28,700 KHR per day. Mao formed a group of two to apply for their first loan from VisionFund. She and her co-borrower are seeking 2,000,000 KHR and 3,000,000 KHR, respectively. Mao will use her portion to buy potash for her crop husbandry. Her main challenge is the shortage of working capital in order to support her crop. She hopes that this loan will help her to increase her crop output and earn a good profit for her children's sake.
