Sobia's story

Ms Sobia is 25 years old and works from home as a tailor. She has been in this line of work for six years now and is proud to be contributing to her household income. When Sobia was not earning, her family was going through a severe financial crisis that compelled her to use her stitching skills in a productive manner. Her husband was the sole breadwinner of the family. Due to limited resources, none of their three sons was sent to school. Sobia felt it obligatory to change her family’s living standards and started working from home when her husband married again and stopped providing for his family. She is a brave woman and her hard work helped her establish a good clientele but she was having difficulty fulfilling large orders. That’s when her sister advised her to borrow from Kashf. She has requested RS 25,000 to purchase a new stitching machine, some thread with packs of laces and buttons. She hopes to earn more net income, which she will use for the betterment of her family members.
