A loan of $1,425 helped to buy clothing, perfumes, creams, cosmetics, etc.

Deysi Isabel's story

The Wayfarers of Christ Communal Bank meets every two weeks in the outskirts of Portoviejo in the sector known as Las Piedras (The Rocks) because it is very close to a few rock quarries.

Deysi, who is 28 years old, lives in this place. She is married and from that relationship they have a five-year-old son who is in his first year of elementary school. Her spouse is a shopkeeper.

Deysi is a very hardworking woman as she works as an assistant accountant in a small business in the city. She also makes a living in commerce, selling clothing by catalog and Avon products (beauty products, cosmetics, perfume and women's accessories). She sells door to door and she works three or four days but at night. She also sells to her coworkers at her workplace. She accepts credit for her products and charges every two weeks. She has been making a living in this activity for five years and it is going very well for her.

This loan is to buy clothing, perfumes, creams, and cosmetics among other things. She has been with the Communal Bank for three years and she likes it because of the help it offers her with loans.

Her dream is to have a store.
