A loan of $4,825 helped a member to buy medicinal plants.

La Hermandad Group's story

Greetings from Perú! This is the La Hermandad group.

Elidema is one of the group's members. She's married and has three children, two of whom have finished college. She is a businesswoman who makes her living as a medicinal plant vendor. Her husband works in a hotel and was the one who give her the idea to start the business. At present Elidema distributes medicinal plants to various hotels and bath houses three times per week. The other days she sells beauty products. Thanks to her work, she is able to help her family, in particular her youngest child, who is still in school. She'll invest her current loan in the bulk purchase of medicinal plants so she can supply her clients. In the future she would like to grow the business by bringing in more clients.

In the photo above, Elidema is the one in the red polo shirt.
