A loan of $475 helped to buy clothing and shoes.

Lais's story

Lais, twenty-one, is a good, enterprising, friendly, and very responsible young woman. Although she's single, she has a child who is just seven-months-old. She lives in her mother's house and is a significant source of support to the family, providing continual contribution to the solvency of the home so they can have a higher income and better quality of life.

Our friend Lais earns her living selling a variety of merchandise. She offers a range of products like clothing, shoes, women's accessories, etc. She sells the merchandise herself, to neighbors, friends, and family either from home or by visiting clients. She's been in the business, working by herself, for three years now. At first she faced a lot of obstacles, like finances and lack of help from anyone to move merchandise from one place to another, but, little by little she figured out how to get things done, and now works in comfort. Like every young person she has goals and objectives; she wants to have a locale where she can offer a wider variety of clothing for the Christmas holidays. This will be her fourth loan with MFP, and she is grateful to those who provide her the opportunity to have access to credit because it gives her the security to keep going with the business. With the 1200 soles Lais will buy merchandise, including clothing and shoes so she can continue selling to her clients.
