A loan of $1,175 helped to buy poultry manure and potato seeds.

Gerardo's story

Genardo was born in Tiraque in the department of Cochabamba. Currently he lives with his wife, Martina, in his community with his family and his young children. His house is rustic: it's constructed of mud and has a tile roof with mud plastering. The client's community is located 10 kilometers north of the town of Tiraque, toward Rodeo. The economic activity there is agriculture, growing tubers and grains. The production is seasonal in the high regions of the high valley.

The loan he's requesting is to buy chicken manure and potato seed.

Genardo is interested in improving his income as well as his own and his family's quality of life in the coming years. This is why he requested the loan. Most of his family does agricultural work and in some cases the neighbors help them with the planting and the harvest.
