Tarija, Bolivia / Cattle

A loan of $1,450 helped to improve the roof of his shed and buy seed for animal feed.

Humberto's story

Humberto, 35, lives with his wife Yolanda. Their home is located in the Puente community, about 45 kilometers from the city of Monteagudo. His main job is raising pigs. He raises them in rustic corrals. He is applying for a loan to improve the roof of the shed, because it is in a bad state, and to buy seed for pasture grasses to plant it and have food for his cattle. He will enclose his land with wire and that way his animals will be in a more secure place. Humberto and Yolando have three children who are currently studying. The parents want to increase their income in order to cover the costs of school, supplies, clothing, and other needs their children have. That way, they can finish their schooling, become professionals, and have a better life.
