Kemah's story

Kemah lives in New Kru Town. She is 33 years old, married and has two children aged 13 and 18 that are in school and live at home. She is a high school graduate, and for the past nine years she has been running a shop where she sells wood for building. She started this business with a little income from her savings account and learned this way of selling from her friends.

She says that she enjoys her business because it has made her proud, and she really enjoys the interaction with her customers. A problem that she is facing is that the cost of transporting the wood to her shop is very high.

Kemah is requesting a loan to purchase more wood for her business. Her plans are to expand her business and educate her children.
