Flamingo Group's story

Mohamed, who is in his mid-20s, is single, with a baby boy. He has been earning a living for four years by running a tailoring business making different kinds of clothes. He works from 8 a.m. 9 p.m. daily, and he is able to make a fair monthly profit.

He has requested a loan from Tujijenge Tanzania that he wants to use to buy more materials to make more clothes (dresses,trousers, etc.) to resell. His dream is to one day be able to own an electronics shop.

He will share this loan with his loan group "FLAMINGO," which totals 11 members who hold one another accountable for paying back the loan.
