Set's Group's story

Set, 59, lives in a rural area of the Ek Phnom district of Battambang province, Cambodia. She has six children. To make a living, she has been selling fried potatoes for 12 years. The current business earns her about 70,000 KHR per day and she manages to save about 20,000 KHR each day after deducting daily expenses.

Set’s group consists of two members who have been with VisionFund for three loan cycles. Set completely paid back the past loans which have helped her to relieve family burdens. Now she is leading her group to request another loan of 1,200,000 KHR each. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy spices for making fried potatoes. She hopes to earn more income from the current business so as to improve her standard of living.
