Las Luchadoras Group's story

This group of enterprising women is named “Las Luchadoras” (The Fighters). The group started in August 2011 and now has 12 members who are in their fifth loan cycle. This committee demonstrates great solidarity, a spirit of responsibility, and most of all, responsibility.

One story that stands out is that of Sra. Felicita. She is a single mother of two grown children. Felicita has been knitting for more than 40 years. She currently lives alone, so she is grateful for the opportunity she has received as part of this group.

Felicita is requesting a loan in order to buy thread, embroidery frames, and other supplies so that she can continue working.

In this group: Romina Isabel, Ursulina, Felicita, Cristina, Yenny, Marlin, Vicenta, Ramona, Petrona, Perla, Luz, Luisa*
