A loan of $2,200 helped a member to buy charcoal to sell.

La Esperanza Group's story

The committee named “La Esperanza” (The Hope) is a group of 16 women, all of whom are neighbors from the city of Mariano Roque Alonso. All of the members strive to move forward and grow in their business activities so that they can help their families.

One of the members is Dalia, who has been selling charcoal for some time. She has already built up a good clientele. Just like her fellow group members, Dalia wants to help her family and fights on their behalf. All of the members have made many sacrifices and strive to do their best.

Dalia is requesting this loan so that she can invest in the purchase of charcoal. This will enable her to have a large quantity so that she can continue selling and fulfilling her existing orders.
