A loan of $400 helped to buy seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and other supplies.

Jose Arturo's story

Jose is 55 years old. He lives with his family. He is a man with an entrepreneurial spirit; each morning he wakes up with new ideas and dreams for how he can help his family get ahead. He has always been a responsible and honest person. The thing that is most important to him is his well being, and the well being of those close to him, in this case it would be his family.

Jose makes a living growing crops of basic grains, like beans, rice and corn; he also cultivates jocote and loroco. This is his source of income and what allows him to be responsible for his household never going without.

It makes him sad to have to go to this communal bank, because it means that he does not have the resources necessary or the sufficient capital to be able to increase his income. He has already sold a large part of his harvest, but he needs basic supplies to be able to continue with his work. It is for this reason that he approached INTEGRAL about taking out a loan. He will use the loan to buy seeds, organic and chemical fertilizers, pesticides and other supplies. He hopes that his request for help is heard so that soon he will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to continue providing his family with a better quality of life.
