Vamba's story

Vamba, 32, is very hard-working and focused on his business. He has had this business for the past eight years. He is married with two children who are between the ages of 9 and 12 and are currently in school. Vamba and his family resides in New Kru. He sells bread, soft drinks, hand cream, toothpaste, sardines, biscuits, candy, gin and many other items. He has many customers and makes a profit; his provision shop is the only shop in the community. He started with a little amount (LRD25,000) that he had been saving from the sale of scratch cards. He is requesting a loan to purchase more sardines, biscuits, soft drinks, toothpaste and hand cream to improve his business. He hopes to give his children a higher level of education.
