George is from a small village in the Kareli district of Georgia. He is 21 years old, single and lives with his mother. He earns a living as a farmer, and owns a plot of land where he grows apples, tomatoes and green beans. He sells his produce in the local open market. He also runs a small dairy farm with two calves and two milk cows, and uses their milk to make products he sells locally. George works hard to set aside some savings and improve the living conditions of his family. He is requesting a loan to buy a new plot of land. He will use this additional piece of land to expand his business and grow more fruits and vegetables. He will also use a portion of the loan to cover the cost of preparing and cultivating the land. He plans to use the additional income he will earn to reinvest in his farming activities.
