A loan of $200 helped to buy firewood and corn.

Yesenia's story

Yesenia sells tortillas and lives with her family, her three children, and her husband. Both her and her husband work to support the family. Yesenia has been working selling tortillas from 6am to 2pm since January 2012. She decided to start selling tortillas to have another source of income for her family. Her business has market potential because restaurants place orders with her every day. She is requesting a loan to buy firewood and corn, which are the supplies she needs to keep her business going. With these supplies she will be able to improve the business because she will be more capable of satisfying her customers' demands. Her aim is to have her own premises and run her tortilla business from there and, once she has more customers, expand to the city center.
