A loan of $325 helped to purchase a mobile phone, solar charging set and weighing scale so that he may provide vital farming information to his community.

Wyckliff's story

Wyckliff is 22 years old. He earns his income through the sale of crops and livestock. He grows maize, beans, cassava and bananas, and he also has cows and goats.

Wyckliff looks forward to becoming a Community Knowledge Worker (CKW). As a CKW he will use the tools in his business-in-a-box (smartphone, solar charging set and weighing scale) to communicate vital agricultural information to the other members of his village, helping them to improve their crop yields and to increase their incomes.

With the additional money that he will earn as a CKW, Wyckliff will save up to buy more land. His biggest dream is to own a building in town.
