La Union Group's story

The borrower group "LA UNION" [The Union] is made up of two members. Osmar and Rigoberte formed a group together in order to mutually help one another and to benefit from the loans in their different economic activities. They are responsible, hard-working, and well-mannered people.

Osmar is the coordinator of this borrower group and undertakes the liability of the party in terms of payments. He sells bread by walking door to door and also from his own home; he has been doing this for twenty years.

He has already worked with the Fundación león 2000; it has helped him to grow his business. The financing he needs is to invest in working capital and to fill his baskets with sweet bread, regular bread, sliced bread, and spiced bread in order to offer the best services to his customers.

The members of the borrower group LA UNION are thankful for the help that the Kiva investors offer to people with scarce resources in poor countries, like Nicaragua, in order to have decent work.

In this group: Rigoberto, Osmar Vicente
