Yoconda Karina is a 22-year-old single mother. She and her 1-and-a half-year-old son live in the city of Ventanas. In her free time, she enjoys farming.

Yoconda is a member of the agricultural communal bank VRC AVANZA. All of its members live in a part of the city named Agua Frías and work in farming and raising livestock. Yoconda practically grew up in this region. She makes a living growing corn and rice.

Yoconda is requesting this loan buy seeds, insecticides, urea, liquid weed-killer, and to pay hired labor. This will enable her to buy fertilizer in time for her next planting. Purchases and sales take place in the city of Ventanas every two weeks. A big obstacle for Yoconda has been the lack of financial resources.

Her dream is to see her business prosper.
