Omm Maa Tarini Self Help Group's story

The Omm Maa Tarini Self Help Group is formed by ten members originally from the Bhadrak district of Odisha, India. These members are responsible married people. They have 23 children under their responsibility. They are all hardworking with hopes to self-improve.

Basanti is the leader of the group. Her activity is a variety store located in her house. She sells basic products such as rice, beans, wheat flour, bread, eggs, sugar, tomatoes, potatoes and other household consumables. The lady wearing a red saree, standing third from the left hand side, is Basanti. This loan is needed for working capital to stock her store and satisfy the demand from her clients. Basanti, along with her group members, has requested a loan of 150,000 Indian rupees (INR) to enhance their businesses.
