A loan of $400 helped to finish an incomplete school building.

Addy's story

Addy is a male and is 46 years old. He is married with four children, all are in school.

He has a seed nursery and a primary school which helps orphans to access an education at subsidized rates. He started in 2010 with eight pupils, but now he has a population of 150 pupils. He works there every school day since he also assists in teaching.

He is borrowing money to finish some semi-permanent structures at the school to reduce the risk of studying under the tree shade. This will help him meet the students' education needs since the government primary schools are far a distance of over 20 kilometers.

Addy’s clients are the children from his neighboring community.

He says that in the future he wants to develop the school from where it is now, up to seven classes so that he can transform his society through education. Also if he gets those to buy books for the pupils since its one of his major challenges because they are expensive.

His major challenge is that he lacks funds to pay teachers who keep going away and this disrupts studying.

He is an honest and hardworking person who, if given support, can transform his society.
