Rebecca's story

Rebecca, 48, lives in West Point. She is a widow with five children who are between the ages of 21 and 32. Four of her children live outside the home and are independent. Only one of the children stays with her at home and is currently in school.

For the past eight years, she has been selling vita, palm oil, onions, rice, peppers, and cooking oil at the community market. She started in this business with the amount that she has been saving with a saving club. She makes a profit when she sells food. With the profit, she buys more goods to improve her business, and then she repays the loan.

She is requesting a loan to purchase more vita, palm oil, onion, rice, and salt for the business. She hopes to build a house in the future.
