Ecuador
Cuenca, Ecuador / Clothing Sales

A loan of $550 helped to buy merchandise.

Mariana De Jesús's story

Mariana is 36 years old, married and has three children, ages 13, 10, and 5. Her oldest two attend a local school in town. Her husband has a body shop and does auto body repair work. They live in a rented home. Mariana cares for the home and sells clothing via catalog. She’s been doing this for six years, sells door to door, and has steady customers. She doesn’t have a fixed schedule and sells whenever the opportunity for showing her products presents itself.

She will use the money from this loan to buy clothing on sale in order to increase her inventory and have more to offer her customers.

Her goal is to build a home of her own. She recently bought the land.
