A loan of $125 helped to purchase additional pampers to sell.

Hariet's story

Hariet lives in the Kongowea area of Coast Province, Kenya. She is a married mother of one child and runs a clothing business which she has been operating for four months. She also works as a hawker (vendor) where she mainly sells pampers. She learned about Milango through friends, who invited her to the group, and she joined in order to access credit to improve her business operations. Her main challenges are exhaustion from walking and bad debts. Hariet is applying for a loan of 10,650 Kenyan Shillings (KES) to purchase additional pampers to resell. Her extra income from the loan will be added to her savings to help open a stall in the town. Her dream is to open a larger boutique.
