A loan of $525 helped to buy ingredients like chicken and meat to make food and to buy an industrial stove.

Daisy Esmeralda's story

Daisy, age 44, is single and has two children. She lives with them in a suburban neighborhood in San Pedro Sula.

She has been generating her own income for five years. She set up a business selling fried chicken and fried pork chops with fried plantain slices. This type of fast food is in great demand.

Daisy wants to buy an industrial stove to use when making the food. She wants to always have the main ingredients like chicken, pork chops, and beef. Therefore, she has decided to request a loan for 10,000 lempiras. The loan will help her cook the food more quickly, and she will be able to buy greater quantities of meat for cash.

Her goal is to continue working with loans in order to get income and to make improvements to her house.
