A loan of $775 helped to buy sacks of organic fertilizer.

Eugenio's story

Eugenio, 58 years old, is a hardworking man. He lives with his two children, David and Gisela. He is raising his children in his sister's house, where he has lived for 40 years.

He has 34 years of experience in agriculture. Every day, he goes out to check on his farmland. His wife is his main source of support. The main crops that he produces are potatoes, wheat, barley, and quinoa. He also raises sheep as livestock. His main income comes from sowing grains, so he continues to increase the sowing of these products.

This is often an exhausting job for Eugenio and his family, but this is compensated by the earnings which allow them to cover their expenses. Additionally, there is always food for the family's own consumption, which is a great advantage for them. Therefore, Eugenio will keep working in this area and improving the quality of his fields by cultivating them with fertilizer.

He has been working as part of a group with the communal bank "Productores Huancas" for several years, and this will be his twelfth loan with MFP. His perseverance is admirable, as he is one of the longest-standing members of the group. He continues to renew his efforts and his positive attitude.

Eugenio will invest the money from this loan in the purchase of organic fertilizer to distribute in the next sowing season.
