A loan of $625 helped to buy candy, soft drinks, packaged fried snacks, and natural products.

Elvis's story

Elvis is 47 years old and sells candy, soft drinks, packaged fried snacks, hotdogs, etc. His experience dates from four years ago when he sold assorted meat products and fish, which he combined with the sale of footwear sold door-to-door. In these activities he gained his greatest experience, but felt very tired, and decided to set himself up in a shop.

This was how, taking advantage of the fact that there was a stand in a local school for selling food to students, he decided to set himself up there. Two years later, as the school principal gave him this opportunity, he took advantage of it, and bought some equipment for operating it. He began paying a monthly rental for the stand.

His main customers are students and teachers, and his dream is to make it grow, so that someday he can help his nephews get ahead through education.

Currently he is applying for a loan; his first from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, by means of which he will buy packaged fried snacks, soft drinks and candy, in order to increase his sales while delighting the palate of the students who buy from him.
