A loan of $1,825 helped a member to buy merchandise, such as sacks of rice, for her grocery store.

Sanmartin De Tours Group's story

These partner members belong to the community bank “SAN MARTIN DE TOURS”; This bank is located in the district of Huarocondo, which belongs to the province of Anta and the administrative division of Cusco.

One member, Hilda, 47, is married and has four children. She alternates her daily activities in her business selling groceries. She sells different types of products such as rice, sugar, milk, candy, sodas, and more.

She has been working in this business for years, and it is going well for her thanks to the determination she puts into each day in her business. She works in the business from Monday through Sunday, from 6:00am to approximately 9:00pm. At the same time, she sells lechón (suckling pig) on the weekends in her own grocery store, since Huarocondo is a place that is characterized by its sales of this dish made with a base of pork meat.

She is a responsible and determined person, and she supports her family by being this way. She is requesting the loan for the purchase of merchandise, such as sacks of rice, for her grocery store.

The other members work in a bakery, in corn sales, in a grocery store, and selling lechones (a dish prepared with pork meat). The people who appear in the attached photos are members who requested permission to arrive late to the meeting due to work commitments.

Hilda thanks those who are part of this dream, and commits to making her payments on time.
