A loan of $1,000 helped to buy an assortment of soft drinks wholesale, and to buy a fridge.

Herland Rony's story

Herland, 29, has a son who is four years old. He makes a living selling an assortment of soft drinks in his sales stand located in the zone of Flamingo, in the city of Santa Cruz.

This loan is his first loan cycle within the institution. Herland is going to use this loan for the purchase of an assortment of wholesale soft drinks and a fridge to keep the soft drinks cold. The reason he is requesting this loan is that he lacks cash for the purchase, and since this time of year is very hot, there is a high demand for his products.

Herland faces challenges in his business such as competition, since there are many soft drink sales stands in the area.

He is going to use his profits to have capital for investment. His wish is to have a snack stand where he can offer an assortment of juices, coffee and a variety of pastries - that way he can increase his earnings.
