Jannat's story

Ms. Jannat is a 51-year-old married woman and a mother of eight children. For 12 years, Jannat has been running a business of milk sales. She initiated her own business by buying a buffalo to support her family when her husband was the only bread earner at that point in time.

With the passage of time, her sales increased and also her income. Now she has three buffaloes and two cows. This has all happened due to her courage and determination. Because of her work, she is respected in her home. She helps her husband in all family matters as well as financial matters.

She is in her second loan cycle with Kashf Foundation. Her repayment behavior is very good. While talking to the Kashf officer, she shared the feeling of achievement she got by sending her children to school for studies. She wants her daughter to get an education along with her sons, and also wants to see her daughter as a teacher.

She has some savings and has applied for a loan of PKR 30,000 to purchase another buffalo. She expects a boost in her business income as she expands her business. She is very thankful to Kashf for its support.
