Ana has five young, school-aged children, and has the duty of providing for their studies. She has dedicated herself to her business in the wood sector of the Chinandega market for the past 25 years.

Since she began her business, she has been characterized as a fighter of a woman as well as enterprising because she began her business with little merchandise and a lot of effort. She has managed to move forward and to support her core family. One of the difficulties she faces is buying merchandise for her business, such as general artisanry, small boats, and pitchers.
