Adama's story

This is 39-year-old Adama. She is married and has 4 children aged 16, 14, 9 and 5. She has 1 additional dependent, who lives with her to assist her with her plastic shoe business, which she established in 2004 in order to provide support to her husband. Her customers are both men and women. Working 7 days a week and 11 hours a day, she earns about SLL 600,000 every month from this business. She would like a loan in the amount of SLL 5,000,000. Adama has already received and successfully repaid 2 loans, and now requires a new loan in order to purchase more plastic shoes. She hopes that this loan will increase her income level and enable her to solve her domestic problem. In the future, Adama plans to build a house and to educate her kids. She says thanks to Kiva, and appreciates its support.
