Kula's story

This is 38 year-old Kula. She is married and has 3 children aged 19, 14, and 10. She has 1 additional dependent, who lives with her to assist her with her foodstuff business, which she established in 2000. She began her business just to enable her assist to her husband. Her customers are both men and women. Working 7 days a week and 11 hours a day, she earns about SLL 600,000 every month from this business. She would like a loan in the amount of SLL 5,000,000. Kula has already received and successfully repaid 2 loans, and now requires a new loan in order to buy bulgur (SLL 2,000,000), garri (SLL 2,000,000), and corn flour (SLL 1,000,000).
