A loan of $400 helped to buy cheese, fudge, fruit, soft drinks and other items, as well as fuels.

Amelia's story

Amelia, 33, lives with her common-law husband, Hubert, and her mother. They live in their own house located on the main road. Amelia is very dedicated to everything she does and for 20 years has been working to support her family. One of her jobs is attending to her fuel sales business. "The advantage I have is that my house is close to the road and there are always customers who travel different routes.", she says. She also has a small kiosk where she sells food such as fruit, bread, fudge, cheese and other items that the travelers buy to take home with them.

Her busiest days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday because of all the vehicles driving through the city. She has been in this business for five year and says it is going well. Now she is requesting your help to buy more merchandise (groceries and fuel) to meet customer demand.

She belongs to the communal bank "Progreso Huayounioc" and this is her 10th loan through MFP, where she has always been punctual in her payments. She is one of the most active members of the group at this time.

Amelia will use the loan to buy groceries (cheese, fudge, fruit, soft-drinks and other items), as well as fuels such as gasoline.
