A loan of $800 helped to purchase quinoa in bulk for making his quinoa and apple juices.

Milton's story

Milton is 35 years old, and has two children, ages 2 and 4. Milton makes a living juicing and selling natural quinoa and apple juices. He operates his juice stand in the Colcapirhua zone of the city of Cochabamba, and this is his first loan with this institution. Milton plans to use the support from this loan to buy quinoa in bulk for making his juices. With a lack of access to capital and the price of quinoa rising steadily due to its popularity and high nutritional value, Milton is requesting this loan. He faces challenges in his business, and has to rise very early every morning to prepare his juices before he can sell them. His dream is to eventually open up a snack stand where he can offer a wide variety of juices, coffee and snacks to customers.
