A loan of $2,950 helped a member to purchase a knitting machine.

Jipe Moyo Group's story

Kavira is the secretary of the Jipe Moyo group. She is a young entrepreneur, aged 23 and she is the mother of four children. Her partner is a taxi driver, and she sells second-hand clothing. She also does embroidery and knitting, and occasionally sells foodstuffs as well.
She began with the basic credit program from Hekima (a micro-finance institution "MFI"). She has just completed two loan cycles with this program.
She will use this new loan to buy a knitting machine. Currently, her biggest problem is the economic crisis.
She thanks Hekima for its efforts targeting unbanked female entrepreneurs.
