A loan of $400 helped to buy carrot seeds and fertilizer to grow them.

Miguel Palax Tuiz's story

Miguel is a 59 year old farmer. He is married and lives in Sololá along with his wife. He has 7 children, 4 of whom are males and 3 are women who are married and work independently but always help with the family's economics.
He works in agriculture, growing potatoes and carrots. He does this work a few meters from his home where he has a small plot of land.
He learned this work 20 years ago as he had to work as a farm laborer with other people and had to have his own capital to be able to have is own crop.
At this season in his community, he grows carrots because the climate is a little cold. He sees the need to increase his crop so his is requesting a loan of $400 to buy carrot seeds and fertilizer to grow on another parcel of land so that, at harvest, he will have good produce and better profits for his family.
His greatest dream is to have a better home for his family, having a good harvest and good profits.
