A loan of $200 helped to buy a variety of cosmetics such as fingernail polishes, creams, and lipsticks which she sells through catalogs.

Nita's story

Nita, 33 years old, is a woman that likes to work. She is also friendly and cordial in her dealings with people. She lives with Segundo who works in construction and is the father of her three children. She lives comfortably in her own home with one of her children and her partner whom she loves a lot.

Nita sells beauty products such as fingernail polishes, creams, lipsticks and other items. All these products are purchased through catalogs and sold among her friends and family, giving them special attention, and so they then later recommend her to other people who become her regular clients.

She began more than ten years with her own capital selling in small quantities and later she grew little by little, and up until now she has been making it on her own. She considers her business profitable enough for the earnings it gives her and she is very popular with her loyal clients. She decided to begin her business by the desire to have an occupation and a profession to earn her own income and not depend totally on her partner, besides wanting to be a successful businesswoman.

So now that she is seeing good results, she wants to continue with her business and increase her stock of merchandise. This will be her 18th loan through MFP and she feels grateful knowing she has financial support to reach her goals.

She also comments that she is happy with the communal bank considering it a united and supportive group. With the requested amount of 500 soles she will invest in the purchase of beauty products to increase her stock to expand her business hoping to thus increase her capital and have higher profits.
