A loan of $800 helped a member to buy five sacks of corn.

Ablawa Philomène's Group's story

This is a group of two women who have taken a joint loan. Philomene, the leader, is 59 years old, married, and the mother of five children, three of whom have been educated. The oldest is 30 and the youngest is 17. Philomene has been selling sacks of corn for several years and gets her supplies at one of the markets in Benin. With the goal of increasing her buying power and to satisfy the large demand of her customers, she has requested and received a micro-loan through Finadev in order to maximize her profits and to contribute to the education of her children. Philomene is to the left in the photo.

In this group: Ablawa Philomène, Kossiba Julienne
