A loan of $350 helped a member to purchase fabric and sacks of wood charcoal.

Sion Group's story

The Sion Group is made up of three people whose members live in the same district. The representative of the group, Petronille Sènablodo Edwige, is shown in the photo with her hand raised. She is 40 years old and married to Noël, a mechanic Petronille sometimes frequented. The couple has four children, all of whom attend school and who are their dependents. The couple lives with their children and together the two provide for all of the different household expenses.

To earn her income, Petronille sells bags of charcoal and fabric through the distribution system. She purchases her supplies from a market in Benin, and in Togo. This business allows her to pay for her needs and those of their children without too much difficulty.

Petronille Sènablodo Edwige and the other members of the Sion Group are seeking their first loan from Alidé. With this loan, they hope to increase their working capital and expand their business to better meet the needs of their clientele.

In this group: Petronille Sènablodo Edwige, Sidonie, Antoinette
