Sida Group's story

Pauline is the representative of the Sida Group. She is married and the mother to two children, aged nine and five years old. The oldest attends school, and both are her dependents.

Pauline is doing very well, and has been a grain merchant for the past four years. She purchases her supplies from nearby villages, and her clientele is made up of both men and women. With her loan, Pauline plans to buy one sack each of beans, corn, and pearl millet, and half a sack of peanuts. Pauline hopes to expand her business using the income she is able to save. She plans to purchase her grain by the ton, which will increase her income. Pauline also helps her husband with household expenses.
