A loan of $4,800 helped a member to buy more cosmetics to re-sell, and to start selling fabrics.


Ufunuo Group's story

Zuena, who is in her early 30's, is married and has two children who attend school. She has been selling cosmetics for three years. She works from 10am to 6pm daily, and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy more cosmetics, a television, and radios, as well as to pay school fees and household expenses. She has paid back all her of loans successfully. Zuena is requesting a loan to buy more cosmetics to re-sell, as well as to start selling fabrics. Her dream is to open a large clothing and cosmetics shop.

Zuena will share this loan with her loan group "Ufunuo," which totals fourteen members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
