A loan of $1,025 helped to purchase bales of clothing.

Delcy Roxana's story

Delcy is 28 years old and she has a 6-month-old son. Delcy makes a living buying and selling second-hand clothes in her sales stall that is located in the populated market of the "16 de Julio" area. She chooses the best garments by the bale and she washes them, irons them and bags them to sell at a higher price in other markets of the city of La Paz. This loan is her first sequence within the institution. Delcy is going to use this loan to purchase bales of wholesale clothing. She needs capital for these dates at the end of the year since it is at this time when people buy clothes for the family. Her reason for requesting this loan is the lack of capital. Delcy faces challenges in her business such as the fact that the customer has a lot of competition and one has to go out early to purchase the clothes. She is going to use the profits to purchase various clothing such as jackets, blouses and polar sweaters of the first quality so that she can promote them to her clients as gifts for the holidays at the end of the year. Delcy's desire is to have her own store of secondhand clothing as well as new clothing and in this way contribute as a woman to the economic progress of her family.
