A loan of $525 helped to buy materials for making traditional woven fabrics.

Maria Enriqueta's story

María Enriqueta is originally from Tecpan. She is 51 years old and has one minor son in her care. She is engaged in weaving and selling traditional clothing.

For years now, she has been weaving fabrics with a loom, as this is the only thing that has helped her to get her family ahead. She started with one loom and now, thanks to God, she has two additional looms.

María Enriqueta's husband works in the same weaving shop. Between the two of them, they are supporting their son. Thanks to her husband's support, María Enriqueta continues working to improve the business.

Her dreams are to buy additional looms in order to obtain better profits and to send her son to a better school, so that he can have a better future.
