A loan of $1,150 helped to buy two cows.

Lourdes's story

Lourdes, who is 27 years old, is married to Elvis with whom she has two children aged nine and four years old. They live in their own house located in a rural annex. Lourdes is a working mother.

From the age of 19, she has been working to support the maintenance of her family. Since then, she is engaged in farming and ranching. She mainly grows potatoes, oatmeal, beans and maca. But sometimes growing brought her problems, even leading to the lost of two crops due to frosts. For this reason, she decided to start raising animals. Currently, she has guinea pigs, sheep, cows and bulls, which she fattens for a while and then sells in her city.

"I take the cattle to Chupaca (city located 250 km away), because the prices are better", she says. She makes this trip every 20 days, confirming the profitability of her business. This month she plans to buy two cows, which she will fatten and then sell. She is requesting your support to do it.

Meanwhile, she is devoted to farming and to take care of her small animals. This is the third time she receives a loan from MFP. She agrees to pay her monthly installments on time, like before. With the money, she will be able to buy two cows, which she will fatten for resale.
