A loan of $1,150 helped to buy manure, fertilizer and to pay labor costs.

Adrian Gregorio's story

Adrian, 28, lives in the city of Cañete in Imperial District with his wife and little girl who he loves and are his reason for living. He’s a very kind, hardworking, enthusiastic man who together with his wife focus all their efforts into getting ahead with their family. Unfortunately, Adrian was unable to study a professional career because he had to go to work very young to help out his parents who work in the fields as farmers; they taught him this business.

On his own initiative and with much effort and dedication, Adrian works in agriculture. He has a small parcel he’s growing corn, sweet potatoes and potatoes on. He works every day starting very early in the morning and works for about 8 hours. He believes he does well because of his experience and the kind way he treats others.

Adrian is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the support provided he will be able to buy manure and fertilizer and pay labor costs to irrigate and medicate his crop. In this way, Adrian will be able to maintain his crops in good condition and he’ll get a good crop yield so he can continue working and striving towards reaching his greatest dream: to finish building his house and provide a good education for his little girl.
