Rose lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is single with two children, both of whom are attending school. She is not looking after any additional family members. She has been selling avocados, onions and tomatoes at both retail and wholesale for the last nine years, working six days a week. She does not earn any additional income. Rose has requested a loan of UGX 500,000 from MCDT- SACCO to enable her stock more tomatoes, onions and avocados for sale. Her challenges include seasonality. Her dream is to drop her retail business and focus on wholesale. She joined MCDT because of the low interest they charge on loans.
