A loan of $200 helped to buy fabric, zippers, buttons, thread.

Maria Elena's story

María works selling clothes and doing tailoring. She lives with her husband, children and grandchildren. She and her husband are the ones that work for the home. The business consists in selling clothes like shorts and girls’ dresses she makes. She works almost every day and has been doing so for ten years.

She requests a loan to buy the fabric she uses at wholesale to make the clothes she sells. She will also buy supplies like zippers, buttons and thread that will help her have what she needs to work. Graduation season is approaching and demand rises so the investment will allow her to take advantage of it. María’s dream is to earn higher income from the business during the end-of-year festivities and to have more comfort.
