Ibrahim is a 43-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and three children, who are all attending school. With his family’s support, Ibrahim is capable of managing the house expenses and live a proper life. Despite all the difficulties that he faced, he was courageous and not afraid to take on his whole family's responsibilities.
He started to work as a painter in year 2000 and still works on a free-lance basis. He’s expert in his field and knows very well how to deal with his clients. Today, he’s requesting to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase added painting tools for his business in order to be able to handle his new project. This Kiva loan will open a new door for him to take bigger projects and increase his productivity by 30%. In the future, he plans to open his own painting shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
